In partnership with ACT Responsible, Epica has invited NGAd Club members to vote for the best charity work entered in the awards this year. The NGAd Club brings together more than 40 communications directors of major NGOs, with the objective of creating a closer bond between agencies and the non-profit world.
“As Epica’s jury of journalists allows it to stand apart from other awards, welcoming a new jury of NGO’s for an additional prize in the field of good causes reinforces its unique positioning,” commented Isa Kurata, co-founder of ACT Responsible.
“As a long-standing supporter of ACT Responsible, we’re delighted that a separate jury of NGAd club members will be able to select their own winner from our Public Interest categories,« added Philippe Paget, CEO of Epica. »Nobody is in a better position to judge the impact great creativity can have in raising awareness of a cause.”
All entries to Epica’s Public Interest categories will also be candidates for a special prize awarded by NGAd, recognising the best work for a worthwhile cause. The winner should demonstrate strong creativity and execution as well as a clear understanding of the cause and an impact on the beneficiary.
The winner will be announced at the Epica Awards ceremony in Amsterdam on November 17.
The NGAd Club was co-founded in 2008 by ACT Responsible – an association promoting cause-related communications – and French agency LIMITE. It reflected the reality that, although campaigns for good causes are created everyday, only a few major NGOs have built a professional relationship with their agencies, often because of a lack of efficient communication. Today, 40 communications directors of major NGOs meet every two months to share best practices.
